Don’t hold back, you shutterbugs! From light bulb milk teas and rainbow drinks, to flame-grilled meats and charcoal churros, this food festival is perfect for your Instagram feed
These days, you don’t just eat your food, you also feed it to the ’gram – Instagram, we mean. If you’re guilty of standing on your chair for that perfect flat lay, or don’t mind your food turning cold ’til you’ve spotted that ‘on-point’ background, you’re probably addicted to Instagram like we are. So what if we told you there was a food festival that encourages you to do just that? Time to unleash your inner shutterbug; snap away at the Hypestagram Food Festival at CHIJMES.
As if this church-turned-nightlife spot wasn’t Insta-worthy enough, this food festival now gives you another reason to click away. Happening during the Hari Raya long weekend (23-26 June), this alfresco event on the lawn will showcase all sorts of colourful, quirky and photogenic snacks and bevvies – perfect for giving all your Instagram followers a case of #fomo. Offerings include the flame-grilled meats of Tipsy Bull, ‘light bulb’ milk teas from Bubb, charcoal churros from Churros Factory, rainbow drinks from The Talad Drinks, crispy fish skin from Fish Sh-nack, fruity popsicles from Popbar, and many more.
Wanna make your own work of art? This food festival is even organising Japanese bento-making workshops led by Little Miss Bento ($60 per person, only on 24 and 25 June). And if you still wanna get involved without getting your hands dirty, upload your best shots on Instagram with the hashtag #CHIJMEShFF, and you might just win $50 worth of dining vouchers.
With grub this gorgeous, you won’t even need a filter to make your photos pop.
