Foodies, listen up! The first edition of Singapore Vegan Festival is here and no, it isn’t only for hardcore vegans. This one-day event is perfect for those who #LiveToEat. Drop by on Sunday, 29 September to experience fabulous food, alternative options, sustainable products and learn a thing or two about the vegan life.
This festival aims to satiate your curiosity about plant-based food and spread awareness regarding animal rights, health and environmental sustainability. Expect a whole lotta food and market stalls with healthier and sustainable options. We’re talking artisanal cashew cheese, vegan wines, dairy-free ice confectionery, almond cappuccinos, nut butters, tempeh, gluten-free and dairy-free chocolate cupcakes, vegan doughnuts, infused olive oils, fresh organic veggies and so much more.
Some of Singapore’s favourite restaurants and eateries are offering their best vegan dishes. Savour Mikuni’s Japanese dishes, Yantra’s Indian flavours, crabless crab with chilli crab sauce from The Peranakan and Well Dressed Salad Bar’s bakes and cakes among others. Don’t miss cooking demos from vegan chefs like Damian Piedrahita who has worked across kitchens in Spain and Northern Italy and Malaysia’s vegan celebrity chef Yin who’s also a cookbook author and TEDx speaker.
