An Arangetram is a solo debut performance to showcase the dancer’s mastery of the art form. In this Bharatanatyam Arangetram, dancer Priyadarshini Nagarajah, student of Nrityalaya Aesthetics Society, will be performing a repertoire of intricate and challenging pieces, skilfully choreographed and thoughtfully curated by Guru Ambujah Thirunavukarasu.
Priyadarshini is an enthusiastic and disciplined dancer, whose passion shines through in all her performances. She completed her Diploma in Bharatanatyam under Guru Ambujah Thiru in 2014 and joined the teaching faculty at Nrityalaya Aesthetics Society (NAS) soon after. As a Bhaskar’s Arts Academy (BAA) Company Dancer, Priya’s graceful movements and precise executions have been seen in many BAA works and most recently in Marabu – The Forgotten Sentinels (2021) and Ceremonial Enactments (SIFA, 2022). Her titular role in Kutrala Kuravanji (2019) was one of her best performances and gained her many fans. Priya continues to perfect her techniques and promises to amaze in future productions. As a dance teacher, Priya also strives to impart the same discipline and passion in her students.
