Do you harbour a secret desire to be a kitchen royalty? Well, here’s your chance, knife-wielding amateur cooks: MasterChef Asia – yes, finally! – is now casting contestants for its first-ever season.
You have about two weeks to put together a killer audition video and submit it on MasterChef Asia’s website by 5 March 2015. The highly anticipated competition will be held in Singapore, and the reality series is set to air on Lifetime (StarHub TV Channel 514) later this year. Judges have yet to be confirmed.
Participating countries include Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korean, Myanmar, Brunei, Cambodia and Laos. As you probably already know, applicants cannot have any formal or professional catering or culinary school qualifications and experience. It’s a six-month long commitment: MasterChef Asia will be filmed between 1 April 2015 to 30 September 2015 – but what is six months in exchange of a life-changing experience?
Good luck, aspiring chefs!
