The conscious festival that inspires us to live better is back - and here’s what we can’t wait to check out…
In our efforts to live better, whether it’s shopping sustainably, eating healthy, or even going green with our beauty regimen so when conscious festival, Green Is The New Black, rolls around, we’re on board! GITNB is returning to Singapore in October with a new roster of exciting things where fun and social responsibility goes hand in hand (Psst: Honeycombers readers get 15% off the ticket price to talks at GITNB!). Here’s what to expect at the festival – are you with us?
A Mindful Marketplace
You can’t miss out on the curated platform of eco-friendly and socially responsible brands including the likes of Hush candles, Beans to Bars chocolates, fashion by Matter Prints, Frank Skincare (pictured above) and more lovely independent lifestyle brands, jewellers and designers who are conscious and mindful in their business practices.
Gotta get some food, of course
What is a festival without food? With vendors like Veganburg (try their burgers!), Dosirak for clean Korean cuisine, Urban Bites, Bakening, and more, you’re not going to see grumpy, peckish people here at the festival.
Live music and some edu-tainment
Learn new stuff from the social groups who will be present at the festival. Meet the lovely people behind animal welfare and rescue organisations like ACRES, WWF, Animal Allies and Manta Trust – you might be inspired to get on board! . Need music to liven things up? No sweat. With a musical line-up presented by going-out app BeScene, they’ll be keeping things acoustic and chill with local acts like Leon Markcus, Us The Hippies, Bell and Loren, and more.
Talks and “quickies”
There will be some game-changing talks and panels bringing together some of the leading conscious change makers and thought leaders in Asia and beyond. Focusing on the themes of Mind, Earth, and Consumption, these talks is a great opportunity to learn about sustainability and also network with like-minded individuals, as well as connect with the movers and shakers of the industry. Ain’t got time for a talk, check out the tidbit-sized “quickie” which is 10-minutes of inspiration by changemakers from ACRES, Fashion Revolution SG, and more.
PERKS! Remember, entry to the marketplace is free, and talks are ticketed. Honeycombers readers enjoy 15% discount by using code HONEYCOMBERS when you register for the talks at Green is the New Black!
