We might be slightly biased, but we love anything and everything that’s inspired by Bali – especially when it’s the latest track from a Cafe Del Mar recording artist. We’re of course talking about Zoey Jones – the island’s very own singer, songwriter and recording artist who’s been making beautiful music here in Bali ever since the pandemic hit. Well, Zoey Jones has gone and done it again: she’s once again written, recorded and filmed her latest single right here on the island, and it’s another Bali-inspired hit that you definitely need on your fave Spotify playlist!
Her latest single – titled “Us Two” – was dreamt up by Zoey while she was staycaying on the coast of beautiful Amed. As Zoey sat silently with her dog and Amed’s breathtaking scenery as company, her mind started to wander. But, instead of thinking about being alone or missing the closeness of a relationship (which let’s face it, is the starting point for most love songs!) Zoey turned it around and created a little summer romance in her head (and we all know Bali romances are the best!).
Spoiler alert: Zoey’s dreamy summer romance is short-lived, but it really is magical. And that’s the point of this new song, proving that things don’t need to last forever in order to be special – sometimes magic is short-lived but incredibly special with beautiful memories that continue to live on…
