Hot on the heels of The Holy Crab’s debut in Jakarta comes a second branch in Petitenget, Seminyak (opening tomorrow on 14 January 2015!), arguably Bali’s hippest dining stretch.
Leave all table manners at the door: the 150-seater, two-storey restaurant serves its hearty, Louisiana-styled seafood like crab, prawns, clams, in a massive plastic bag. There are no plates or utensils provided (only shellfish crackers and shell openers), so go on, feast with your bare hands!
Be sure to give their Dungeness crab a go – our Jakarta team has nothing but praises for it. If you’re looking to hit up a quiet spot for dinner, well, look elsewhere because The Holy Crab will be bustling with noisy folks, and lots of hammering. But hey, it’s all part of the fun.
The Holy Crab Bali, Jalan Petitenget 50, Seminyak, Bali 8036, p. 0819 0122 CRAB (2722), e. [email protected]. Open 5-11pm daily; bar operates till midnight.
