Fish, turtles, squid, and jellyfish made from ocean debris, including abandoned fishing nets and recycled plastics, Ghost Nets of the Ocean is a spectacular marine-themed exhibition created by indigenous and non-indigenous artists from Erub Arts on Darnley Island, Torres Strait, Australia. These colourful woven sculptures, hanging suspended and dramatically lit throughout the gallery, show the peoples connections to the sea, and strive to generate awareness of ocean pollution, recycling, and conservation of the marine environment.
