Kick off the trek to Jordan – 7 to 8 hours of hard hiking per day (carrying 15-20kg packs) under blistering heat, on a multitude of terrains, and the scaling of the steep rocky facade of the highest mountain in Jordan, Jebel Um Adaam – in order to raise international awareness for women victims, with a night of Middle-eastern magic!
Expect Singapore based international adventurer Thaddeus Lawrence, best known for being one of only 125 individuals in the world to have successfully raced 1,000 kilometres in the hottest, coldest, windiest and driest deserts on earth, to be at the event! He will be sharing his experience and recounting astonishing tales of the extraordinary. There will be a fashion show by Jordanian Designer Asma Charles as well, followed by special belly dance performances.
Tickets are sold at $200, and even if you can’t attend, the folks at Women On A Mission (as we are) would appreciate a donation towards their efforts for the women victims in the Middle East.
