Well everyone knows the Vineyard at Hort Park is gorgeous, but have you seen this place made up for a wedding?
Stunning.
Our two crafty elves at In Merry Motion sent over some party photos of a wedding they helped to design – there’s an old-school snack bar, a pinata trashing session (sounds violent, but the pinata yielded fortune cookie favours with profound love advice hidden inside), and even a limbo rock throwdown.
The winner? The groom’s dad!
Special thanks to Donn and Meihua for allowing us to feature their intimate wedding, and Thomas of The Peeping Thom for the beautiful photos.
A social media savvy wedding – the couple got friends and family to hashtag their photos, smart kids.

Pre-ceremony, guests helped themselves to an old-school snack bar, which was a joint project by the couple’s good friend and In Merry Motion.

This same space was used for both the ceremony and the dining and buffet area after.

To usher the guests out from the seating area, Weiyan of In Merry Motion hosted a limbo rock competition where guests had to limbo their way out the room. There was then a showdown where, in Weiyan’s words, “the groom’s father was back-breakingly awesome!”

The couple then broke open a handmade pinata stuffed with handmade fortune cookies and love advice for their guests.
