Introduced by the team behind Employees Only Singapore and Bang Bang, Lulu’s Lounge is a new nightlife hideout that remains open ’til 6am
There’s a new nightlife lounge in town, and her name is Lulu.
Based on a fictional, salacious protagonist from 1960’s New York, Lulu’s Lounge is the latest brainchild of Joshua and Sarissa Schwartz, the power couple that also spearheads establishments like notorious waterhole, Employees Only Singapore, and popular club, Bang Bang.
The new bar and live music venue finds its home in Pan Pacific Hotel, and boasts an aesthetic that’s part-suave, part-grimy. On one end, you’ll spot sleek couches resting against cabinets displaying chic ‘personal belongings’ of Lulu that ooze with class and charm, while on the other, you’ll be mesmerised by raw brick walls tainted by graffiti and ultraviolet scribbles. Also brandishing peekaboo curtains, ritzy chandeliers, lipstick-stained napkins and other kitschy memorabilia like jukeboxes, Lulu’s Lounge is an immersive hideout you’ll be happy to call your second home.
You’ll definitely be spoilt for choice with the venue’s cocktail selections too; try the creamy and milky Big Coconuts, or the Whiskey Pucker Up – Lulu Lounge’s take on a whisky sour – that’s even garnished with a garish lipstick motif. And to top off the ambience, there’ll be nightly live jazz gigs and top-notch DJ sets spinning everything from hip-hop to dancehall. Oh, and in case you’re in need of a very late nightcap (or a morning booster), Lulu’s Lounge remains open ’til 6am from Wednesday to Saturday.
So who is Lulu? Why don’t you swing by and find out?
