This is already looking to be the biggest concert of 2017, and thankfully, a second show has been added
Rainbow confetti butterflies, silhouettes and sparklers, splotches of paint and humongous bouncy balloons – a Coldplay gig is rarely just a concert; it is an experience. I’ve had the privilege of attending every Coldplay show in Singapore, ever since their debut back-to-back performance with Travis in 2001. And 16 years later (has it been that long??), the biggest band in the world is coming back to fill your head full of dreams.
Update: Live Nation Lushington has just announced that Coldplay will be having a SECOND show (it’s the first time the band’s done this here!) on 31 March at the National Stadium. No doubt, this is due to the overwhelming response in ticket sales for the band’s original show on 1 April, which saw tickets fly out the window in record time – and not to mention the horrendous inflated prices from resellers (damn you, scalpers). In addition, more spots will be made available on 1 April itself, with additional CAT 5 (Standing Pen A) and CAT 6 (Standing Pen B) tickets to be released. Tickets for both shows will go on sale on 25 November at 10am (with a limit of four tickets per category), so be prepared to camp at your computers and pray that the website doesn’t crash. Good luck!
Gracing the stage of the National Stadium on 1 April (this isn’t a joke, hopefully), these anthem-makers behind hits like “Yellow”, “The Scientist”, “Fix You” and “Viva La Vida” return with yet another triumphant, over-the-top spectacle that – if it’s anything like past years – will leave you breathless and soaked in your own happy tears. Promoting their latest album, A Head Full Of Dreams, these down-to-Earth Brits are set to show why they’re still as relevant as ever with songs both old and new, and we dare you not to sing along with them. Expect theatrics galore.
