5 things to eat this weekend
From award-winning modern French, a spot of afternoon tea, to decadent Cantonese delicacies, here’s five things we’ll be eating this weekend!
#1 Modern French at JAAN
Number 17 of Asia’s 50 best restaurants and Indoguna Restaurant of the Year in the World Gourmet Series Awards of Excellence? That’s double the reason to give this modern French restaurant at Swissotel The Stamford a try if you haven’t already!
#2 Cantonese delicacies at Summer Palace
Head Chef Patrick Chan Kai Hon of the renowned 2-Michelin stars Zi Yat Heen, from Four Seasons Hotel Macao, returns to Regent Hotel’s Summer Palace from 9 to 13 April to showcase 30 of his Cantonese signatures. Go a la carte, or choose either of the two prix-fixe menus ($88++ or $168++ per pax for six courses).
#3 Seafood galore at Quayside Isle
Besides the visual feast of the Singapore Yacht Show (10-13 April), prepare to eat up a storm this weekend at Quayside Isle. Can’t choose between fresh oysters at Oyster Bar & Grill Wharf, Paella de Pescado (seafood paella) from Sabio by the Sea, or Moules Frites (Belgian mussels with free flow Belgian fries) from Brussel Sprouts? Just have them all!
#4 Afternoon tea at LIME
We never say no to afternoon tea, especially if it’s LIME at PARKROYAL on Pickering’s new afternoon tea set, available 3 to 6pm daily. Expect sweet and savoury treats – like gourmet sandwiches, mini macaroons, and earl grey chocolate brownies – presented on an exquisite three-tiered stand. Did we mention it’s only $38++ per pax?
#5 Hot Mama’ Cajun at Extra Virgin Pizza
So you think you can take your spice? Try Extra Virgin Pizza’s limited edition (only available till 30 April) Hot Mama’s Cajun pizza, generously topped with spicy prawns, hot chorizo sausage, green peppers, chilli, and mozzarella on a bed of tantalizing tomato sauce. Ay caramba!
