Primarily raised in France by a French-Dominican parentage, French jazz singer Cyrille Aimée was a curious child in Samois-sur-Seine, discovering gypsy music after sneaking out her bedroom window and wandering nearby gypsy encampments. She went on to sing on street corners around Europe and found herself at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2007, where she won first prize in the vocal competition, kickstarting her jazz career. Since then, this bright mademoiselle has blossomed into a full-fledged jazz artist, winning the Sarah Vaughen International Jazz Vocal Competition amongst many other accolades. Catch her and her team on the 8 July at the Esplanade Recital Studio.
