A gastronomic spread at one of the city’s hottest Italian restaurants? Say no more
If you haven’t already noticed, it’s obvious Perrier-Jouët’s the bubbly of choice at the Honeycombers HQ – when it comes to playing favourites, we’re guilty as charged! This award-winning Champagne house not only produces some of the finest bottles around, they are also hosting an exciting dinner series focusing on what they do best: merging quality vintages with a premium dining experience like no other.
Perrier-Jouët – The Secret of Love should be on your radar and here’s why. The event’s four-course degustation menu by Perrier-Jouët and chef Diego Chiarini of OSO Ristorante packs a gastronomic adventure for fans of traditional Italian cuisine. A stalwart of fine Italian fare in Singapore, purists can expect to embark on a time-honoured journey with Chiarini. Think sea bass carpaccio, roasted duck breast drizzled with cranberry sauce, and a luscious panna cotta with double cream flan and caramelised black pepper – all elevated by some of the house’s top tipples.
The Blason Rosé (Perrier-Jouët’s very first Rosé champagne) is a well-rounded, aromatic bouquet of rose and orange flowers – and a popular choice of fine-dining aficionados. It’s flanked by the signature Grand Brut, an ever-reliable complement to the evening’s canapés. A vivacious cuvée, its sweet and citrusy finish is a solid starter. Let’s not forget about the Belle Époque Rosé 2006, an exceptional vintage crafted from grapes harvested from the top terroirs of France’s Cramant, Avize and Le Mesnil. The result? An elegant blend of blood orange and grapefruit, with notes of nuts, brioche, honey and caramel. This stunning Champagne also features a fantastic finesse that’s perfect with game birds and desserts. Sublime!
