We’re no strangers to ant cocktails and durian pizza, but would you try a burger with grilled watermelon?
Long a Keong Saik hotspot for lovers of cocktails, good times, and great burgers in Singapore, Potato Head has upped the ante with its all-new menu offerings from Three Buns. And we’ve got to say their new burger is a unique one to say the least – how does a watermelon burger sound to you?
The Watermelon Man ($19), like all other Three Buns burgers, is built on the foundation of a 150g Black Angus beef patty. The sweet and savoury burger features a compressed grilled watermelon seasoned with garlic, chilli, and anise topped with Quader de Cavra goat’s cheese, pickles, onions, and Three Islands mayo.
That’s not the only watermelon-inflected dish on the menu – The Phife Dawg ($14) features a 100g prime beef sausage and homemade buns topped with beef chilli, smoked Applewood cheddar, Big Poppa hot sauce, and a relish made from watermelon trimmings.
Too avant-garde (or fruity) for you? Opt instead for more conventional dishes like the Truffle Hound ($15) hotdog, the Black Angus beef Burning Rice ($17), and the Pokemon poké bowl ($19) that features marinated yellowfin tuna akami, ponzu, quinoa, avocado, and more.
It wouldn’t be a proper evening at Potato Head Singapore without some tasty tipples. So order up a round of their new neighbourhood-inspired cocktails like the Internal Healing ($20) and the Royal Autumn ($21), inspired by the Singapore Botanic Gardens and the Japanese Gardens respectively.
