Art Next Expo 2019 is the event that all young artists and collectors need to be at. Find out why you'll want to support this great initiative at PMQ.
In its third edition, Art Next Expo is one of the most exciting cultural events on Hong Kong’s annual calendar, bringing together hundreds of talented new artists from countries across the globe. Take a look at why we can’t wait to see all the burgeoning talents converge on PMQ in November, and grab your free tickets to the exhibition below.
What to expect
From 1-4 November, Art Next Expo will take over Central’s PMQ, filling the space with artwork created in different media from both local and international young talents. The goal of the expo is to connect the next generation of artists with leading industry professionals and curators, giving creatives a helping hand and allowing the public to view a range of eye-catching and inspirational pieces.
Hong Kong artists whose work will be on display include Liu Cheng Mui and Donna Chu Kit Yee, while international artists such as Mr. Likey and Raphaele de Broissia will also be showing at the event.
Art Next Expo also offers access to top quality works at affordable prices, meaning that collectors can go home with a piece that they love at a much lower entry point, while talents get to chat with potential buyers and experience first-hand what it’s like in the colourful world of all things art.
Diversity Series
Alongside the main expo, the Diversity Series brings together a selection of galleries, exhibitions and groups that embrace diversity in contemporary art. Renowned Hong Kong jewellery designer Austy Lee will present a series of paintings, while local talents from the Hong Kong Youth Art Association and the Hong Kong Culture Association will also have selected works on display. Hong Kong’s newest book store, THE BOOKSHOP will even have a pop-up at the event before it opens its doors inside the new-look Museum of Art.
