The wellness lifestyle is really taking off in Hong Kong and has moved from the classroom into the world of travel and experiences, so Nihiwatu in Indonesia has launched a new programme to its roster, the Wild & Free Yoga Retreat
Thanks to the hectic lifestyle that most Hong Kongers lead, wellness activities such as yoga, meditation and clean eating are growing in popularity as people look to take care of body and mind. Located on Indonesia’s remote Sumba Island, Nihiwatu is launching a new yoga retreat, where participants can enjoy a well-earned getaway and deepen their yoga practice.
Nestled in an untouched Indonesian enclave, Nihiwatu is a completely off-grid resort that is establishing a new benchmark for wellbeing escapes. Set to launch in October, the new Wild & Free Yoga Retreat is the latest in its line of holistic experiences that take the idea of a holiday to a brand new level.
Over the course of the seven day retreat, Australian wellness gurus Sjana Earp and Rod Cooper will work with guests during daily group classes, combining hatha, vinyasa, restorative yoga, breathing techniques and meditation. Along with daily movement practice, inversions and hand balancing, personal instruction will also be offered to attendees, allowing individuals to focus on their own yoga goals.
Of course, the wellness experience doesn’t stop at the end of class, with the opportunity for guests to trek tropical jungles, learn from an ancient tribal culture and visit incredibly remote, pristine beaches – sounds like heaven!
Guests can then choose to stay at the secluded resort, or opt for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Nihiwatu’s Honeymoon Villa, a secluded one-bedroom villa in the Nihioka Valley for the ultimate solitude and digital detox.
The Wild and Free Retreat Yoga Retreat will take place at Nihiwatu from 7-12 October
