Rainy day in Bali? Head indoors to Trans Studio Theme Park Bali for rides, shows and family fun for kids of all ages.
Spending the day at a beautiful beach or waterfall is a must when in Bali. But what happens when rainy season rolls around, or you just need to escape the tropical heat? Say hello to Trans Studio Theme Park Bali – the island’s very first indoor theme park.
It’s a total game-changer for family-friendly fun in Bali, and it’s conveniently located in Denpasar, just minutes from Sunset Road. This vibrant attraction also blends Indonesia’s rich culture with thrilling rides, captivating shows, and imaginative experiences that families of all ages will love – all with air-conditioning, no less!
Whether you’ve got a fussy toddler, a mini adrenaline seeker, or grandparents who want to stay comfortably out of the sun, Trans Studio Theme Park Bali ticks every box. I recently spent the day exploring every corner with my family in tow. And spoiler alert: we left grinning from ear to ear!
“Harmony in Imagination” – where culture meets family fun

What inspired my recent visit to Trans Studio Theme Park Bali was its latest creative campaign called “Harmony in Imagination”. For the 2025 school holidays, this indoor theme park invites families to take part in meaningful experiences that fuse local Balinese culture with fun play.
The concept is woven throughout the park, so you can watch ancient myths reimagined as live-action shows, parades inspired by traditional ceremonies, and local storytelling elevated through technology and imagination. It’s a clever way to keep kids engaged with Indonesian heritage, whilst letting them roam free in a wonderland of fun!
Rides for All Ages: From flying high to rollercoaster thrills!

With 16 attractions and rides, Trans Studio Theme Park Bali has something for everyone – whether your little ones prefer gentle thrills or you’ve got a daredevil in the family. There were two rides that stood out to me the most.
First up: Flying Over Indonesia. This state-of-the-art flying theatre lets you soar (virtually!) across the archipelago’s most breathtaking landscapes. Think Bali’s volcanoes and Komodo Island’s rugged cliffs. The screen curves around you as you’re lifted into the air, complete with wind and scent effects. It’s a calm, immersive ride that even the youngest adventurers can enjoy.
For the braver bunch, don’t miss the Boomerang Coaster Challenge. It’s the tallest rollercoaster in Bali! But what makes this ride unique is that it sits partially outdoors, but remains part of the indoor theme park. Expect heart-racing drops, high-speed loops, and plenty of photo-ops as you shoot past the glass dome. I’ll admit, I screamed the whole way through…
The Daily Shows: Magic, culture & action-packed performances

What really sets Trans Studio Theme Park Bali apart is its live entertainment. They have three shows running every day, and each one brings a totally different vibe.
First my favourite: Gayatri, a beautifully choreographed performance about a Balinese girl’s journey to adulthood. It weaves in traditional dance, music, and costume. It offers a taste of local culture, in a format that’s easy to follow and is visually stunning too. This one was a real hit for the whole family.
Then came the Temple Raider Stunt Show. This high-octane live action sequence has everything from explosions and treasure hunters, to dramatic leaps… Indiana Jones-style! The performance takes place in the Adventure Zone, with every twist and turn in the background.
Finally, we ended the day on a magical note with The Dream Festival Parade. The colourful procession consists of floats, dancers, music and characters from across the park’s zones. It’s got that classic theme park charm to perfectly wrap up the day of fun and culture.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly activity in Bali that goes beyond the beach clubs and outdoor adventures, Trans Studio Theme Park Bali is a must. It’s one of the few places on the island where the whole family will be entertained – rain or shine.
