Dita
Mesmerised by the vast array of varying musical perspectives in Indonesia, Dita has been on a voyage of discovery since 2014. Her commitment to sonic exploration led to the establishment of the ‘Interrupted’ collective, through which she has solidified her own sound amongst her contemporaries while continuing to navigate diverse musical textures.
Ranging from proto-house to disco, ’90s breaks to Balearic, Dita is rightly known and admired for the distinct and nuanced sound that she has lovingly and meticulously curated over the years.
Sophie McAlister
Australian born and raised in Laos, Thailand and Bali, Sophie McAlister has been a regular fixture in various music scenes since 2016.
As a DJ, Sophie McAlister sports a fearlessness and confidence that seems to know no bounds. A deep selector, and seemingly immune to passing trends, Sophie remains attentive to the cutting edge, while still sporting that all too familiar seamlessness that dancers have come to revere. Equally comfortable in the realms of house and disco as she is in the sounds of jungle, bass and techno, McAlister is an ambassador for stylistic pluralism. It’s said often, but she really does it all. Her discerning taste has taken her across the global club and festival circuit including Pitch Music and Arts Festival (AU), Glastonbury (UK), Lost Village (UK), Sugar Mountain (AU), A3 Festival and Rainbow Disco Club.
Sophie’s role as a respected curator has landed her a role as music director for Nong Krong Festival, and a resident Dj at Klymax. Her latest event series Swoon, invites guests for an all night long b2b. With sold out nights featuring the likes of Bradley Zero (UK) and Cousin (AU).
For this reason and many more, she’s considered a treasure amongst the local scene. Sophie’s output of guest mixes vary from her Rinse FM Mix for Ben UFO’s Hessle Audio show and Floating Points’ Melodies show on NTS. Heavily inspired from her UK counterparts, Sophie plays with a distinct approach that carries listeners through her soulful and uplifting taste derived through bass and percussive heavy sounds.
