Forget everything you think you know about a music conference. AXEAN Festival is coming back to Jimbaran Hub on 29–30 August 2026 with two full days of live music and a lineup built entirely around one idea: discovering your new favourite artist before anyone else does.
Now in its seventh edition, AXEAN has quietly become one of the region’s best-kept secrets for music discovery. It’s the kind of weekend where you wander between stages, stumble into a band from Seoul or Saigon you’ve never heard of, and leave with a new favourite song. This year’s lineup pulls together more than 40 acts from across Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia and beyond, spanning everything from dream pop and alt-rock to hip-hop, soul and electronic jazz.
And this year, the food is just as much a part of the story. AXEAN Festival 2026 introduces a brand-new Southeast Asian hawker-style food market, bringing dishes and street-food traditions from across the region into one lively, shared space so you can eat your way around Asia between sets.
“If you come to AXEAN Festival, you are tapping into a community that grows and builds with you,” says AXEAN Festival co-founder David Siow. “Every year there are new artists, new sounds, new stories from across the region — and this year we wanted Bali locals and visitors alike to feel like they can just turn up, eat well, and find something they love.”
Beyond the music, AXEAN Festival 2026 also welcomes KOREA SPOTLIGHT, South Korea’s flagship K-music showcase, bringing four rising Korean acts, (can’t be blue, MRCH, Nerd Connection and Silly Silky) to Bali for the first time. The festival also introduces SEA URBAN, a new platform spotlighting Southeast Asia’s hip-hop, rap and R&B scenes, and continues its partnership with U.S. radio institution KEXP, which will record its first-ever live sessions in Asia on-site.
For families and first-timers, AXEAN’s relaxed, open-air setting at Jimbaran Hub paired with the new food market makes it an easy, low-key weekend outing rather than a late-night rave: come for an afternoon, catch a few sets, grab dinner from a dozen different stalls, and see where the night takes you.
