Anton Wirjono
Anton founded “FUTURE” at the underground club Parkit. They transformed Parkit into a dynamic space for dance music and eclectic psychedelia, collaborating with visual artists. The overwhelming success of their initial event led to a regular Saturday night residency, establishing Parkit as the birthplace of Jakarta’s electronic music scene.
In 1997, Anton became the head of Bengkel Nightpark, Jakarta’s biggest club, drawing thousands weekly with his rave-inspired sets while hosting a popular radio show. Hogi moved to San Francisco, and quickly made waves in the scene with releases on underground labels, including Greyhound Recordings. After leaving Bengkel Nightpark in 1999, Future10 organized warehouse parties and partnered with Nepatya to promote outdoor festivals, leading to the creation of “JAKARTA MOVEMENT,” Indonesia’s first multi-stage dance music festival.
In 2004, Future10 launched THE JUNCTION FESTIVAL in Bali, running for a decade and featuring renowned house music artists. From 2011 to 2014, they created the boutique festival “LOVE GARAGE” with Ismaya Live, blending indie and electronic music. Since 2009, Future10 has produced Brightspot Mrkt, revolutionizing Indonesia’s retail and fashion industries.
Additionally, they have hosted award-winning club nights such as Back In The Days (the longest running club night in Indonesia) and Turn On Plastic. Future10 have evolved into a record label, continuing to innovate with both digital and physical releases. Celebrating 28 years, Future10 remains a cornerstone of Indonesia’s electronic music scene.
