Amazing places to eat pizza in Jakarta - prepare to stuff your face with cheesy goodness!
Pizzas are our guilty pleasure: who can resist a good bite of baked crust and cheese? Not to mention the wonderful toppings, from Italian sausages, parma ham, and even pears and peaches. Here’s the lowdown on the best pizza joints in town!
Pizza Place
This proper New York-style pizzeria easily won our hearts with their giant slices drizzled in honey chilli oil. This hole-in-the-wall cash-only joint is so small that there are lines snaking out the door on the weekend, but its fresh-oven pizza is totally worth the trip.

Sopra Cafe
Sopra Ristorante used to be our go-to Italian restaurants for pizza in the CBD – but sadly it closed. Luckily, Sopra Cafe lives on, carrying the legacy of its delicious authentic Italian pizzas. Our pie of choice is “The King” pizza with fresh mozzarella, caviar salmon and shrimp.

Trattoria
Trattoria had stolen our hearts in Seminyak, Bali, and they continue to tug at our heartstrings in Jakarta. “Make Pizza not War” they say, and we’re with them all the way. The Bianca Al Crudo (mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, parma ham, and rucola salad) is authentic Italian, and they make it halal upon request. Dining out with the ladies? Their Pizza Al Tagliere is perfect for sharing between 3-5 people. South Jakartans, alert!

Caffe Milano
We’re a sucker for any establishment by Union Group and Caffe Milano is no different. This all-day trattoria does casual Italian fare great justice with excellent pizza offerings. Here, try what else? The Milano Pizze of course, with porcini mushrooms, pancetta, egg and parmigiano reggiano. We also love the Funghi Pizze with assorted mushrooms and heavenly truffle oil, as well as the Burrata Pizze with basil, oregano, mozzarella and burrata. Simple, but divine.

Pizza e Birra
We’ve babbled on about the beer at Pizza e Birra, it’s only natural to rave about their pizzas too! They’ve been serving us the signature pizzas (our favorites are Texas BBQ and Love Supreme) and the Italian Pizza (Salami Picante’s sizzling hot!). Now, we’re being pampered with the Deep-dish Pizza – savoury and sweet – more dough for us to sink our teeth in! We can’t get enough of their Apple Peanut Butter and Jam (slathers of PB, strawberry jam and caramel sauce, topped with warm baked apple chunks).
