The best bars in Singapore come together from 6 to 12 June to show their love for the Negroni cocktail – with proceeds going to charity
Our boozy thirsts have been psyched for beer festivals, Singapore Slings, Margaritas and even Gin & Tonics. So naturally, we’re quick to highlight an upcoming celebration of cocktails in June… well, one cocktail in particular, the Negroni. Yup, Negroni Week is back in town during 6-12 June, with numerous local bars showing love to the cocktail traditionally made with gin, vermouth, Campari and garnished with an orange peel. Makes you want one now, doesn’t it?
Just like last year, Negroni Week brings together the elites of local cocktail talents – including Singapore bars like Bitters & Love, Smoke & Mirrors, Manhattan Bar, Long Chim Singapore, Oxwell & Co, Jekyll & Hyde, Potato Head Folk, Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall, Hopscotch, Gibson, Jigger & Pony, and over a dozen more (explore the full list here). Each of these establishments will be putting their spin on the Negroni, both conventional and unorthodox renditions. We’ve already caught wind of some peculiar variations like a fat-washed Iberico concoction, a pineapple consommé, citrus-infused lollipops; who knows what else we’ll discover this year?
And believe it or not, you can get sloshed for a noble cause. Each participating bar has picked a charity of its choice – anything from animal rescue to Food Bank Singapore – so proceeds of your tipsy night out will go to helping others. That’s something we can absolutely toast to.
