And what more refreshing cocktail is there to unwind with than the good ol’ gin and tonic? From the artisanal to the affordable, we’ve put together our favourite happy hour digs for a glass of G&T.
If you want bespoke: Oxwell & Co.
Monday Blues hitting you like a train on the track? Find a little comfort at the bottom of a glass of Oxwell & Co’s signature Gin & Chronic on Mother’s Ruin Mondays. If you want a lunchtime pick-me-up: District 10
Boasting a happy hour that starts bright and early at 11am, District 10’s your best bet for a midday tipple and a tasty lunch to boot. Try G&Ts with interesting twists like the Gordon’s gin infused with watermelon and kaffir lime leaves, and Ford’s gin infused with sugarcane and mint leaves. Pick two drinks for just $20, but don’t overdo it if you’re there in the arvo.

With it’s sage green walls, padded stools, and sofas, Cin Cin revels in the refined glamour of 1920s Prohibition Era bars. The menu here offers a bountiful variety of gins, but pop by between 5pm and 8pm, and you’ll get to enjoy one-for-one house gin & tonics. Feel like channelling your inner 007? Opt for the one-for-one deal on the signature Cin Cin Martini.

These stalwarts of tipples and American comfort food do weekday happy hours from 5pm to 8pm, so hustle down after work and kick back on the veranda with two-for-one housepour G&Ts.
