Grab your mates and pop by the newly opened South Bronx for a hearty burger and a cold brew
We certainly have a taste for the finer things in life. But when it comes to buns and patties, what really revs our engines is a good old-fashioned American style burger; none of that bourgeois nonsense like truffle oil and Himalayan sea salt. The recently opened South Bronx at PoMo seems to offer just that, in its new edgy, graffiti-covered premises.
South Bronx’s signature burger is the Original Rump Shaker: a house-made beef patty with signature sauce, smoked bacon and a melted cheese slice. If your taste in burgers sways towards the esoteric, treat your tastebuds to the Sir Spam-A-Lot, a burger that swaps the regular beef patty for luncheon meat topped with fried egg, BBQ mayonnaise, bacon and grilled pineapple rings. As an added bonus, you’ll get to pick a side of waffle-cut, curly or steak-cut fries.
And, to wash all that down, you’re going to need a couple of cold beers, of course. South Bronx keeps their coolers well stocked with crafty brews like Yenda IPA and Kopparberg cider for the sweet tooths.
Feeling a mighty hunger coming on? We think that’s reason enough to give this sleepy little mall a visit. Just don’t wear white.
