Halal restaurant Halia at Singapore Botanic Gardens wants to cater your next party… without breaking the bank!
Everyone knows the secret to a good party is great food. If you’re looking to entertain at home, throw a baller office party or a proper sit-down dinner to celebrate something special, we’ve got news for you. Halia at Singapore Botanic Gardens is going all out with its new catering service for shindigs, big and small.
You heard us. This iconic restaurant, which calls Singapore Botanic Gardens home (lucky!), is bringing its modern European with Asian influences cuisine to… well, anywhere on the island. Besides, the folks at Halia have thought this through and are offering more than the just the usual buffet option.
But first…
ICYMI Halia is the Malay word for ginger, which makes perfect sense since the restaurant is located in the Ginger Garden within the UNESCO World Heritage Site. And in June 2017, it was awarded the Halal-certification by Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) – so food for all!
Dish it up family style
A special birthday party or celebrating a promotion, if you’ve got an intimate soiree to cater to consider the Communal Feast service. Treat your group of five ($280+) to ten ($535+) guests to an assortment of 14 communal dishes. Start off with a soup and move on those appetisers – smoked salmon pate with hints of avocado, cucumber salsa and soft cream cheese, a juicy pulled duck with soba noodle salad and that signature lemongrass and ginger prawn salad we keep going back for. Also expect chilli crab gratin, paper bag oven-baked seabass fillet, a five spiced beef that’s braised for 12 long hours among others. Of course, there’s dessert – a super sticky toffee pudding and triple chocolate mousse with berries for fun!
Side note: Got more than 10 guests to cater too? Add on dishes from the a la carte menu. ‘Cos Halia is flexible like that
Pick and choose like a boss
Can’t leave things to fate huh? That’s alright, get picky with the a la carte menu. Choose wisely from a massive variety of dishes to curate the perfect dinner party. Remember though, each dish can feed up to eight to 10 people.
Bring on the big buffet
For larger social affair, you can’t go wrong with a buffet. Halia has three buffet menus options ($28+, $48+ and $68+ per person) and you can upgrade each of them with a salad bar and a carving station to serve cuts of Australian beef and lamb. Of course, you can’t go wrong with local crowd-pleasers including the super tasty satay…
