We popped by The Covette Clinic at ION Orchard to try its popular HydraFacial before sitting down and having a quick chat with founder Abhit Sud
Are your facials or expensive skincare products not able to give the results you expect? Whatever your woes are, head to The Covette Clinic for that accessible luxury experience.
Located at ION Orchard, The Covette Clinic was recently awarded ‘The Aesthetic Clinic of The Year Asia Pacific, 2018’ by Global Health & Travel Awards. The space – decked out in gold and marble – is nothing short of exquisite, and the staff are ever-attentive and pleasant. What’s more, every client is serviced by a medical concierge, who will help guide them in achieving their beauty and lifestyle goals.
What’s beneath the surface
We did a 3D face scan, which shares details such as the depth of wrinkles, concentrated areas of pigmentation, and more. At The Covette Clinic, it is a mandatory protocol to get a 3D scan of the area concerned before the treatment. The clinic boasts an array of 3D face, body and hair scanners that help the doctors give an objective assessment of the client’s concerns. Also, the scanners help to monitor the results after each treatment.
When we asked founder Abhit Sud, what makes this clinic a cut above the rest, he said: “The Covette Clinic is focused on medical-grade skin treatments. We are the largest health, beauty and wellness service provider in Singapore with 28 centres and nine brands. When we started the clinic, we felt there was a need for a brand like The Covette Clinic, which doesn’t compromise on quality and delivers results to the customer using the best equipment and technology out there.”
He adds: “The world leaders of medical aesthetic technology are from the US, Europe, Israel and more recently, South Korea. They have invested resources and time into assuring the best and the safest possible outcomes from their proprietary technologies. Certainly, many would try to copy and replicate these technologies, at the expense of both safety and the guarantee of the expected clinical outcomes. But I’d rather be safe and have the peace of mind from using the original, approved products and devices from the US, Europe, Israel and South Korea. We never compromise our duty of care to our clients. Being backed by the billion-dollar Mayar group gives the ability to invest in the most high-end technology.”
An in-depth treatment
The treatment we went with was the HydraFacial. During the post-facial process, we were given a folder with the photos they took prior to the treatment, along with graphs detailing several aspects of our skin’s condition. Based on this, we could see the intensity of various issues, from wrinkles to dark spots and oil. “It’s about going to experts who give you proper diagnostics while ensuring that you get the results you want in the least number of sessions,” says Sud, when asked about the ‘Covette promise’.
As with many other treatments offered by the clinic, it’s recommended that customers return every month or so for visible results, and this in-depth analysis on paper helps monitor progress made. But with skin looking this good afterwards, we don’t think this facial will be our last…
