OBEY teams up with Blondie’s Debbie Harry for a capsule collection, and there’s only one place in Singapore where you can shop this exclusive clothing line...
You’ve seen the ‘Hope’ posters of Barack Obama and the Middle East mural by Shepard Fairey (aka Obey) at the Art from the Street exhibition at the ArtScience Museum, now you can add a piece of pop culture to your wardrobe. Fashion collabs are having a moment right now, and the LA-based artist has joined forces with Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry for a line of womenswear filled with street textures and urban patterns — and it’s badass.
Taking the world by storm, the collection sold out fast when it was released on OBEY Clothing’s online store last year. The predominantly grey capsule collection embodies the punk-rock royalty (and “New Waves’ answer to Marilyn Monroe”) — namely bomber jackets, sweaters and shirts embellished with the icon’s portraits in true OBEY form. The line also stretches across ready-to-wear pieces to caps, pins and art, amongst other selected merch.
Can’t wait to get your hands on the punk-meets-glam goods? Choice Cuts Goods + Coffee will play host to the Debbie Harry x OBEY pop-up from 28 March to 8 April, and it’s the only place you can cop the exclusive collection. Opening night’s on 28 March, and we heard through the grapevine that each piece is limited to one per size — so best head down before it’s all gone!
The Debbie Harry x OBEY Pop-up, 28 March – 8 April 2018, available at Choice Cuts Goods + Coffee, #01-07, 451 Joo Chiat Road, Singapore 427664
