Debutante de Singapour
This is a coup for Singapore. The Oriental counterpart of a renowned and beloved Parisian trade show has arrived, bringing together over 200 of the world’s finest home décor designers in one place. Ladies and gentlemen, on vous presente: MAISON&OBJET ASIA.
Held from 10 to 13 March at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, the inaugural MAISON&OBJET ASIA is where the best of European and Asian interior design come together in one milestone event. Picture this: 272 lifestyle brands spread out over 6,000 square metres, with more than 13,000 international visitors – no, it doesn’t get any bigger (or better) than this.
Modeled after the Parisian trade show of the same name, MAISON&OBJET presents a diverse mix of exhibitors, from international to regional, established players in the industry to emerging designers. Big names not to be missed at the four-day event include the purveyors of luxurious living themselves: Fendi Casa and Emanuel Ungaro. Also worth checking out is British furniture giant Habitat, who recently revealed that its first Asian store will open in Singapore this November – you heard it here first!
Designers of the Rising Asian Talents exhibition
Emerging talents from around Asia will have their time in the spotlight through the Rising Asian Talents exhibition platform at MAISON&OBJET. Hailing from Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore, the six designers will also have their wares displayed at Robinsons Orchard from now till end of March for members of the public to purchase.
MAISON&OBJET ASIA also marks the start of the inaugural Singapore Design Week – a landmark event organised by DesignSingapore Council which will feature a host of local and international design trade shows, conferences, showcases, exhibitions and workshops from 10 to 16 March.
