Featuring a celebrity-packed guest list, famous DJs & Grammy Award winners, glitzy fashion shows, sport car and private jet displays, and more, The Podium Lounge is where you want to be and be seen this F1 season
We’re revving up for this year’s F1 Singapore – and we don’t just mean the exhilarating race that’ll be tearing up the Marina Bay Street Circuit from 15 to 17 September. Don’t get us wrong; the cars zooming past at lightning speed and deafening volume are the highlights for sure, but there’s something else that we’re also pumped for: the high-octane after-parties that’ll take place all over the city. Hosting loads of Formula drivers and A-listers, and jam-packed with live performances, celebrity DJ sets, fashion shows, sport car showcases and more, The Podium Lounge has to be one of the most extravagant and star-studded parties in town. And it returns this September to the glitzy Grand Ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, right in the heart of the trackside action.

Party up a storm with the star-studded line-up
Besides rubbing shoulders with the who’s who of Asia’s elite party scene, we’re particularly excited about the celebrity DJs on the decks. Dance the night away as model-singer Pixie Geldof (15 September), R&B singer Macy Gray (17 September) and former Ferrari F1 driver-turned-DJ Giancarlo Fishichella take to the stage – the latter will also be hosting on the red carpet as well, alongside E! News Asia host Raymond Gutierrez. If you’re a fan of rapper Coolio, brace yourselves: he’ll also be performing live with his band for the first time in Singapore at The Podium Lounge on 16 September.
Watch supermodels strut their stuff – above your head
Calling all fashionistas – you won’t want to miss the spectacular runway shows that’ll take place on a majestic skywalk, built over the top of Singapore’s longest pop-up island bar. International models will work the runway in threads curated by The Yak Magazine (Bali), at The Nightly Fashion Circuit presented by Karma Resorts.
You’ll also get a glimpse of Aussie designer Mauricio Alpizar’s new resort collection inspired by the symbol of the snake, complete with intricate prints on luxurious satin and silk. Sticking to the tribal theme, Erika Peña Jewelry & Accessories will also be presenting their snake-inspired collection, featuring fabric wrap sandals made with metallic fabrics and wrap-coiled necklaces and bracelets. If street wear’s more up your alley, stick around for MtheMovement. The designer brand will be presenting its Fall 2017 collection with sleek basics influenced by Southeast Asian street edge on 15 and 16 September.
Admire East-meets-West artwork and catch famous artists in action
It’s not just about the glitz and glam at The Podium Lounge – art takes centrestage as well. Get your art fix at a unique exhibition, Primary Source, that’s presented by Sundaram Tagore Gallery and showcases artworks that merge Western culture with traditional tropes and techniques from around the world.
Witness world-famous speed painter Armin Flossdorf work his magic live, as he conjures up F1-themed art in record-time using acrylics and pencil on canvas, then be amazed by Paul Oz, an explosive portrait artist who focuses on impact and energy from thick oil paint to create stunning masterpieces.
Gawk at impressive sport cars and private jets
If you just can’t get enough of fast cars, you’re in luck. The Lamborghini Aventador S will be making its Singapore debut at the party, so you’ll get to check out its new, sleek, aerodynamic design and increased power. More of a private jet kinda person? Feast your eyes on one of the latest aircraft from WingsOverAsia, a private aviation social network for private aircraft owners, pilots and enthusiasts, just steps away from the F1 track.
Mingle with motorsport industry insiders
For those in the motorsport scene or want to get involved in the business side of things, The Podium Lounge is also hosting the very first Motorsport in Asia Business Forum during the day on 16 September. Whether you’re an aspiring F1 driver, race promoter or sponsor, you’ll get to meet with big names in the industry. Plus, guest speakers such as Alexandre Gibot, head of Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific and David Sonenscher, CEO of Motorsport Asia Ltd will be there to dish out tips and discuss trends.
Bid for rare F1 memorabilia in a live auction
This one’s for the major F1 fans – you’ll have the chance to bid for authenticated and rare F1 merchandise, including a racing glove signed by Lewis Hamilton and a racing helmet signed by all the drivers of the current F1 season. The cherry on top? All proceeds from the auction will be going to charity!
