Singapore’s ATTAGIRL! has invited Tokyo’s Bae Tokyo for a series of parties at Blu Jaz Café, Kinki, and Refuge
When you think of girl power in the local dance scene, the feisty ATTAGIRL! collective comes to mind, comprising a handful of some of the circuit’s edgiest and most eccentric DJs and VJs on this side of the continent. But unsurprisingly, this isn’t a trailblazing movement that’s exclusive to our shores – meet its Tokyo counterpart, the sugoi scene kids of Bae Tokyo.
Flinging antiquated boundaries of race, ethnicity and sexual identity out the window, Bae Tokyo is breaking down barriers and turning up the bass with sounds that’s bellowed through some of Tokyo’s hippest clubs. And for a very special weekend, ATTAGIRL! has invited some of these sisters-in-arms for an electrifying trinity of parties taking place across Singapore’s buzziest nightlife venues.
Jayda b. and YonYon are the ambassadors of Bae Tokyo you’ll meet, dropping an arsenal of soul, hip-hop, trap, and other bass-y bullets of goodness. They’ll be joined by the ATTAGIRL! crew first on 3 February at Blu Jaz Café for a special edition of Good Times, and play two shows on 4 February at Kinki in the early evening for a cruising chill-out sesh, followed by Umami Beats at Refuge where they’ll pump up the volume all night long.
