For hot dates, cocktails with friends, private parties, and corporate events, this restaurant and bar on Jiak Chuan Road serves up potent drinks, authentic bites, and laid-back feels
You don’t need to travel halfway around the world to experience a colourful Caribbean explosion: Limehouse continues to bring a rum-soaked slice of the West Indies to Singapore. And if you haven’t stopped by this Chinatown haunt recently for a spot of liming (the art of doing nothing but hanging with your pals while sharing top bants, nosh, and cocktails), then it’s high time you paid a visit to lap up the Caribbean vibes and sink a pina colada (or two). But there’s more to this shophouse than meets the eye, and its multi-functional space can cater for multiple occasions. Here’re three times an authentic Limehouse experience has got you covered.

For a hot date
The cosy restaurant on the ground floor has been given a new lease of life thanks to the all new Bajan chef who has recently taken over the culinary reins. The new menu features authentic Caribbean flavours including pepper shrimp, seafood cakes, fire-roasted stuffed sweet potato, and calypso fish, all rounded off with delish sounding desserts like tropics cheesecake. After a feast here a second date will totally be in the bag.
For cocktail o’clock
Head up the staircase and you’ll find Bago; a super-chilled lounge that houses over 150 international rum labels. Think rattan furniture, soft moody lighting, palms dotted in every corner, and potent rum cocktails served up in a kooky fashion. You’ll pop by for one and end up staying for three (yes, we’re talking from experience).

For party time!
Got a big celebration coming up? Give your shindig a Caribbean spin by holding it in the all-new private function room. With enough space for 20 – 100 guests, it’s the ideal location for private parties (samba!) or corporate events.
