For the uninitiated, barre is a ballet-inspired workout that has really taken the world by a storm. This fitness trend that just won’t quit is a fun fusion of ballet, yoga, and pilates, that lengthens and strengthens muscles for a more refined body. At bBarre, each class incorporates pilates, cardio, barre work, mat movements and small weights designed to target problem areas and give you a full body workout. Class levels include bBarre Virgin, a great place to start for fitness newbies, or bBarre XXX for for fitness experts brave enough to try a more intense workout. We tried their Signature bBarre Perfect, a fifty-minute class set to an uplifting pop soundtrack that mix ballet-inspired moves, ab crunches, lunges, and the odd yoga stretch. These may not look like huge movements, but trust us, your muscles will shake.
