Dimmed candle light, leather-clad sofas… Basque is a trendy eatery and a buzzing spot for a hot date. The restaurant offers plenty of yummy tapas to share, encouraging you and your partner to graze, drink and chat (sans ever looking down at those phones) all evening. If you ask us, the best game plan is to order as many Spanish nibbles as you can, so you get to taste a little bit of everything. Just make sure their crispy croquettas, gambas al ajillo, jamon iberico and olive oil and basil sorbet make the cut. If you and your special someone are both meat lovers, dining at Bistecca would make the perfect dinner date for you. Taking inspiration from a New York steak house in the mid 20th century and a classic ristoranti in Florence, this Italian-American steak house resembles the vibe of a classic library with long rows of books on the walls, wooden furniture and tufted leather sofa. While you’re here, don’t forget to try their prime steaks, which pair perfectly with their fine Italian wines and martinis that you can also savour from the bar.
