Calling all horror enthusiasts! The Mills is bringing the amazing art by Junji Ito, the internationally renowned Japanese horror manga artist, to Hong Kong this Halloween. With the exhibition’s furnishing, layout, lighting, and life-size model displays of the characters all staying true to Ito’s manga, you’ll be able to fully immerse yourself in the mangaka‘s haunting yet captivating world.
The exhibition features five different areas, each following the themes surrounding Ito’s most famous stories. Firstly, there’s the bittersweet romantic tale of Lovesick Dead Adonis at the Crossroads; fans of dark humour will enjoy Souichi’s Convenient Curse; then, there’s the creepy Slug Girl, the eerie Town of No Roads; and, of course, the infamous Tomie’s Haunted House.
Enjoy a spooky Halloween season surrounded by pumpkin decorations and chilling installations around the mall. Don’t forget to doll up your little ones and pose with Ito’s characters to take part in The Mills’ Halloween Instagram Photo Challenge, too! Simply visit The Mills with your kids in costumes from October 9 to 31, then upload the photo with the tags #TheMillsHalloween2021 and @themillshk for a chance to win. The top five most creative snaps will take home gift vouchers worth up to $500. Good luck and have fun!
