Chubb Life Hong Kong (“Chubb Life HK”) is proud to be an official partner of Art Basel Hong Kong 2024, the largest international art fair in the city, running from 26 to 30 March. As part of its continuous support for the local art community, Chubb Life HK will present the Chubb Life Forest, a space designed to reflect the natural beauty of Hong Kong while exploring the concept of creating a natural setting in which humans and nature exist together harmoniously.
Created in collaboration with professional artist-architects Lily Zhang and Wataru Shinji, the Chubb Life Forest features a captivating walk through a tranquil, green oasis, enabling visitors to explore the powerful connection to nature’s diversity. This is the first time both artists have created an exhibit dedicated to showcasing an abundance of living plants that will endure for future generations, as the plants will be returned to their natural habitat. As part of the immersive experience, Chubb Life HK is partnering with film director Masataka Kiyono to visually project natural scenes of the city onto the forest’s backdrop.
Together with a series of events ranging from canvas painting, an architectural sharing session on the concept of the art installation, to networking sessions with industry professionals at the Chubb Life HK booth, the forest also serves as an interactive hub reflecting the concept of legacy as well as Chubb Life’s commitment to caring for and protecting customers when they most need it. To reinforce the concept of legacy, visitors will be invited to select a native tree that Chubb Life HK will plant in the Tao Fung Shan Forest Redesign and Enhancement Project, in collaboration with Lily and Wataru. Post Art Basel, the plants shown at the installation will then be returned to their natural habitat.
