If you’ve ever cafe-hopped through Canggu, you’ll know breakfast is serious business here...
I’ve had my fair share of smoothie bowls and baked pastries in Canggu, but every now and then, a spot comes along that offers something much more. Just inside Holiday Inn Resort Bali Canggu, ROOMAH is one of those places – a daytime cafe serving an all-you-can-eat breakfast, with both a buffet spread and unlimited à la carte dishes, cooked fresh to order.
If you want a breakfast that does the most in all the right ways, this is the spot.
First impressions: a Bali breakfast that feels like home

I arrived at ROOMAH at around 9am when the sun was already warming up, so stepping inside its cool air-conditioned interiors was an instant win. You see, ROOMAH sits inside Holiday Inn Resort Bali Canggu, so you can expect all the luxuries of a fancy hotel, yet with the cool cafe charm of a standalone breakfast spot. It’s fully open to outside guests, and you can simply walk in, settle down, and start browsing the menu and colourful buffet display.
The space is welcoming and spacious, with dark wood shelving, soft lighting, and an outdoor area if you prefer a bit of fresh air. It certainly lives up to its name “Roomah”: a playful nod to rumah, the Indonesian word for “home”. There’s a comforting, home-style warmth, but with chefs who cook every dish fresh and make sure your coffee never goes cold. Honestly, it’s the dream!
And here’s where ROOMAH really stands out. The all-you-can-eat breakfast doesn’t mean scooping from a buffet tray – it means unlimited à la carte dishes made fresh to order, plated beautifully, and served to your table piping hot. And the best part? Every dish can be tailored to your dietary preferences, something you don’t always get at a typical hotel breakfast.
The foodie highlights at ROOMAH

One of the first dishes I tried was the Shanghai Chicken Porridge, and it set the tone for the whole morning. It comes out silky and steaming, topped with tender shredded chicken, spring onions, crisp fried shallots, and a soft-boiled egg that melts right into the porridge (which adds so much flavour). It’s comforting, and somehow both light and filling.
You’ll also find all of those iconic international must-haves, like unlimited avocado on toast, acai bowls and chia pudding, alongside Asian favourites like kungpao tofu, Indonesian nasi goreng, a delicious cashew-chicken with basil and vegetables, and my top pick: the chicken and shrimp dumplings. I actually bumped into the GM who recommends the Indonesian omelette, but I was so full, I’ll have to try it again next time!
ROOMAH also masters all the basic breakfast necessities, like fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurt, eggs (in any style you can think of!). And then there are desserts… the fresh pancakes and waffles are a must-try. They taste like something from a boutique bakery. Except here, you can order as many rounds as you like. I ate so much, I skipped lunch entirely…
So, is this Canggu’s best new breakfast?
Oh, it’s definitely up there! With their freshly cooked unlimited à la carte dishes, homely flavours, and a team who genuinely takes care of you, ROOMAH delivers a breakfast experience that’s both generous and relaxed. If you’re hunting for a new go-to breakfast spot in Canggu, or if you’re staying at Holiday Inn Resort Bali Canggu, ROOMAH is not something you want to miss out on.
