Gonno
An integral part of the current wave of house and techno in Japan, Gonno’s releases
have not only appeared on esteemed local labels but have also made their way over to the continent.
Bringing an acidy and melodic flavour, Gonno’s DJ and live sets revolve around the core of his house and techno roots, drawing clubbers in with eclectic sounds and a talent for the
lost art of storytelling behind the decks.
Beyond the scope of his live show – which includes bi-annual appearances at Berghain’s Panorama Bar – notable releases thus far include ‘Acdise #2’ on International Feel (2011), full-length effort “Remember The Life Is Beautiful” on Endless Flight (2015), and a well-received remix of Jeff Mills’ ‘Light Of Electric Energy.’ A new project with Japanese drummer Masumura, consolidated into the album “In Circles,” further tested the limits of Gonno’s sound.
