Elisa, what makes craniosacral therapy so effective as a healing for body and mind?
Our mind and body are intimately connected. Our habits, beliefs, thoughts, and emotions are recorded in the body and can manifest in aches and pains. Mental stress and anxiety can affect the nervous system as well as energetic toxins such as computers, mobiles, and electro smog. Craniosacral therapy effectively and gently redirects the body system to a more balanced and centered structure, as well as heals a wired nervous system. The result is a significant freer experience of the body and a quiet mind.
Where, when, and how did you learn this amazing talent to help transform people’s lives?
When I suffered from a chronic condition and was searching for a cure I met my master, a Russian doctor and craniosacral therapist. Learning craniosacral with him for 6 years transformed my life and cured my condition.
What does a healing session feel like for your clients? And for you?
A session with me feels like a deep meditation; the mind surrenders in this state and the body starts to unwind through tiny movements, twitches, and a sensation of floating. Images, memories, and traumas may reappear for a moment before releasing permanently. These energies are literally trapped in the body. I perceive a wide field of information about the client as I am conducting the healing; I’m guided to tune the physical body while clearing energetic debris.
What are some of the most memorable/impactful healings you’ve been involved in?
Some environments are particularly powerful for healing. At Karma Kandara there is an energetic vortex around the spa and some of the most miraculous healings have taken place there. I remember a client partially levitating from the table, and an angelic being showing up filling the room with so much love: the client and I were stunned by this phenomena. A man whose vertebrae slipped into place in a session after months of agony not being able to walk; he danced around the table that evening.
What would your advice be to sceptics of craniosacral therapy?
To be open to receive a craniosacral session one time, and judge the result only afterwards. If they don’t try, they won’t know and so they can’t judge. Craniosacral therapy is basically a physical restructural therapy so the worst thing that can happen is that you deeply relax for an hour. If I feel a person is not ready for this therapy I would advise them to do something more tangible like a massage.
Is Karma Kandara spa really the ‘slice of heaven’ it’s rumored to be?
Yes! The location is very soothing and powerful for detoxing the body, mind, and soul. A massage above the cliff is much more effective than a massage in a standard room. The therapists are trained in a holistic way and they understand the anatomy of energy and emotion as well as the body. This makes the experience at Karma Kandara spa truly heavenly.
