Surfing Mentawai Islands
If you are a surfer, sun-loving adventurer, or seasonal seafarer, we have the adventure for you.
Our household surfer has just returned to the mainland from a week on the Nomad, a newly refurbished Indonesian 60′ timber sloop. Operated by resort latitude zero, this boat is equipped for the perfect man-cation.
This surf vacation involves surfing daily, interspersed with spot snorkeling and fishing, and lot of Bintang time of course. The local ensures you surf some of Indonesia’s finest lefts and rights.
Best bit? Right now you can fly direct (from Singapore) to Padang on Tiger, making the Mentawai islands a whole lot easier to get to.
Major eye candy alert: The Nomad invited Bali-based surf photographer, Mick Hurley, to record our adventure – and what a fantastic idea that was. Never before have we returned from a holiday with snaps like these!
