Update alert! Start bookmarking your fave pics with Instagram's nifty new feature
There’s no denying that Instagram has been on a roll these past couple of months. First, there was Stories, which lets you post temporary photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours. And now the photo-sharing app has unveiled yet another nifty new feature that users might find… well, familiar.
The latest software update introduces Saved Posts, where you can bookmark a post by tapping the icon below the photo. These saved photos will automatically be stored in a special tab on your profile – privy only to your eyes, of course. For now, the feature does not organise your saved photos into different categories (i.e food, travel, fashion). But stay tuned: Instagram reveals that it might happen in the near future.
An online pin \board of your favourite photos: sounds eerily familiar? We can’t help but notice its uncanny resemblance to Pinterest – not that we’re complaining. So go forth Insta addicts: start bookmarking every selfie, funny cat video or #OOTD that catches your eye. The world is your oyster.
