Get inspired, motivated, and empowered at this one day festival on 22 October; featuring interactive workshops and talks, live music, local brands, foodie stalls, and more!
Any festival that claims you’ll arrive as one person and leave as another has our interest piqued from the get-go. But this is exactly what the team behind Green is the New Black – a first-of-its-kind festival in Singapore focusing on conscious living – is aiming to achieve. Bold claim? Sure, but we reckon the inspirational team behind this one-day extravaganza is bringing something totally fresh to the Singa-scene. If you didn’t catch the abridged version of the event earlier in the year, fret not! Roll up to Hotel Jen Tanglin on 22 October for a whole bunch of activities that are guaranteed to be good for your soul. Here’s our round-up of what to expect, and what not to miss.
What’s it all about?
The second edition of Green is the New Black promotes awareness of how to improve the way we live, work, and consume in our daily lives. This curated platform of local and international influencers, speakers, change-makers, musicians, and brands are coming together in a bid to inspire and empower us all to be more conscious every single day. Word on the street is you’ll be happier, healthier, and richer (hell yes!) for it. And we’ll also lessen our impact on the planet to boot. Feel-good brownie points? Check!
The highlights
The TALKS – Laugh, learn, discover, connect, dream big, get motivated and be inspired to make stuff happen. The MARKETPLACE – We ain’t gonna lie; our shopping habit is one we are not willing to give up. And we’re hyped that all of the boundary-pushing, innovative brands getting ready to set up shop at Green is the New Black do business in a conscious and mindful way. You’ll find everything from local fashion and art, to beauty and lifestyle brands.
The STAGE – It’s not a festival without a few tunes, and a plethora of top local talents will be spreading the feel-good vibes with live music. Perfect setting to dance like nobody’s watching? You bet’cha!
The WORKSHOPS – Get hands on and learn how to live green by participating in some of these unique, interactive workshops. Choose from urban gardening, terrarium building, how to repair your clothes, or join the sugar v. fat debate.
The PARTY! – Inflatable swans at the ready; round off the day with what is set to be an epic rooftop pool party! This totally sounds like our kinda festival, so who’s with us?
