Hear the best house anthems from Zouk performed by a 50-piece symphonic orchestra at Capitol Theatre
It has only been a few months since we bid farewell to Zouk’s beloved first home at Jiak Kim Street – but ravers around the island are still feeling sentimental. Sure, its new home at Clarke Quay is pretty darn snazzy, but you don’t recover from a 25-year love affair just like that. Thankfully, helping us all in our recovery process is a tribute party-slash-concert unlike anything you’ve ever witnessed – a momentous gig that’s combining house music with classical. We kid you not.
Organised by The Henderson Project, One More Time looks to be one grand occasion that pays homage to the superclub. From 24 to 25 March at the iconic Capitol Theatre, you’ll hear the house anthems that propelled Zouk to the global stage performed by a whopping 50-piece symphonic orchestra. Yup, that’s a mash-up of two vastly different music genres – classical and house – to bring you a completely unique musical experience.
And what’s a tribute to Zouk without a dance party? Happening right after the concert is an after-party to take care of all your leftover adrenaline.
One More Time – A Tribute to Zouk at Jiak Kim Street, 24-25 March, Capitol Theatre, 17 Stamford Road, Singapore 178907. Get your tickets here, starting from $158.
