Over 40,000 revelers were at a complete stand still when Yves V took to the stage and played Rae Sremmurd's familiar track 'Black Beatles'.
2016 saw a lot of viral sensations that ranged from the awesome (running man challenge, FTW) to the downright head-scratching (22 push-up challenge was not one of our favourites). But one that made the biggest splash of all was the still life mannequin challenge, where subjects in frame had to hold their pose while staying completely still, the more outrageous, the better. Everyone and their mother tried to outdo each other, from celebrities to entire restaurants and clubs taking part of this pretty easy-to-do Internet craze. But Djakarta Warehouse Project took things to another level when they managed to capture 40,000 ravers in their attempt to make the largest Mannequin Challenge in all of Asia.
Watch the video above to see Yves V take to the stage to get 40,000 ravers to stand completely still for an entire 19 seconds. If you’ve ever been to DWP before (or any music festival before) you’ll know just what a huge feat this is. Can’t wait to see what other records Djakarta Warehouse Project will break in 2017. Colour us impressed!
