Our Top 10 Instapicks This Month
Don’t think we didn’t notice Darcy the Flying Hedgehog’s appearance on our Instagram was very well received – which was why we decided it was time to round up the cutest pets on Instagram. You know how an awww-some photo of a furry little critter on your feed can make your day, so hit those follow buttons already!
Who: @catoftheyear / Caesar
Tribe of followers: 46, 458
Follow him: if you want a cool cat (instead of a cute one) on your Insta-feed. Caesar – named after THE Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes – is an African serval that was rescued from a fur farm. Caesar’s now livin’ the American Dream – cars, Ray Bans, and flushing toilets included.
Who: @barkleysircharles / Sir Charles Barkley
Tribe of followers: 160, 180
Follow him: because he’s probably one of the most expressive French Bulldogs we’ve come across. Whether it’s a goofy smile or annoyed face, Sir Charles Barkley is one of a kind. Did we mention he even has his own range of tees and greeting cards?
Who: @ernest_hedgingway / Ernest
Tribe of followers: 36, 322
Follow him: if you have a burning love for hedgehogs AND books (like us)! Named after one of the greatest literary figures of all time, Ernest is one darn photogenic African pygmy hedgehog; doesn’t matter if he’s pretending to be a wizard or he’s just plain grouchy.
Who: @bunnymama / Eddy and Marbles
Tribe of followers: 477, 399
Follow them: for a huge awww factor on your Instagram feed. It used to be bunny brothers Rambo (Holland Lop) and Eddy (Lionhead mix). But Rambo has gone to bunny heaven, so it’s Eddy and Marbles (another Holland Lop) now. We love that they’re so dedicated to helping other rabbits.
Who: @mensweardog / Bodhi
Tribe of followers: 85, 557
Follow him: because he’s got more swag than a lot of guys we know. Bodhi (yes, after Patrick Swayze’s character in the movie Point Break) is a Shiba Inu living the life in NYC. The world’s most dapper dog looks dashing in anything – stripes, suit and tie, and even Hawaiian shirts.
Who: @maru_the_cat / Maru
Tribe of followers: 18, 883
Follow him: ‘cos it’s Grumpy Cat’s cuter and pudgier Japanese counterpart! Whether it’s getting stuck in boxes or striking his best Zoolander pose, there’s no denying: grumpy looks good on Maru and we can all stand to learn a few modeling tips from him. If only we can come back as a fat housecat in our next life…
Who: @buddyboowaggytails / Buddy and Boo
Tribe of followers: 280, 991
Follow them: because they’re just so freaking adorable! (Isn’t it obvious?). Meet the cutest, fluffiest pair on Instagram. Are they dogs or very realistic teddy bears? We can’t be too sure but what we do know is that you have to have a heart of stone not to coo over these fellas.
Who: @Chinnybuddy / Mr. Bagel
Tribe of followers: 50, 751
Follow him: if the typical round up of kittens and puppies just ain’t your style. Who says rodents can’t be cute? Mr. Bagel the chinchilla got us hooked for many reasons: his Dumbo-like ears, wee little paws, and adorable dress-ups (Santa chinchilla or biker Chinchilla, anyone?).
Who: @hamilton_the_hipster_cat / Hamilton
Tribe of followers: 461, 540
Follow him: because he had a moustache way before Movember was all the rage. Yup, Hamilton’s the original hipster cat with a ‘stache so gentlemanly, Magnum P.I. himself would be jealous. Now excuse us while we figure out how to paint one on our own kitty.
Who: @bacon_the_piglet / Bacon
Tribe of followers: 4, 516
Follow her: for aww-somely adorable photos that’ll put you off bacon and pork ribs for good. Who knew micro pigs make such great pets? With Bacon’s twinkly blue eyes and inquisitive snout, she’s probably the happiest little critter you’ll find on your Insta-feed. Need some motivation to go vegan? This is it.
