Fantastic news for fest heads, music lovers and basically anyone looking for an excuse to go to Bali: Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival, the premier summer event of the season, has now expanded to two amazing days of sun, sand and beats. Returning to the iconic Potato Head Beach Club on 13 & 14 August 2016, the music event has a cool reputation for setting the bar high for music festivals in the region. With cool cocktails, amazing beats, and a chance to cool off in the venue’s famous stage front pool, what’s not to love about this summer party?
Headlined by British DJs Disclosure and Mark Ronson, Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival boasts its biggest line-up yet. Bringing other curated musical festivals to shame, the stellar roster of international artists also includes Ta-Ku, Breakbot (Live), Sam Feldt, George Maple, Blonde and Hermitude – and that’s just the first phase announcements. Past years have told us that one may take a peek at Jakarta’s version of the festival happening that same weekend to hint at what other acts we can expect. So far the only (huge) difference seems to be that the beloved Brit bothers Howard and Guy Lawrence of Disclosure don’t seem to be making an appearance on the Big Durian’s summer fest. All the more reason to book your ticket to Bali. Sorry We The Fest, looks like we might be heading to our sister island for this one.
Early Bird tickets went fast, so you’ll definitely want to lock down your passes before they sell out.
Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival is on 13 & 14 August 2016. Tickets start at IDR 2,000,000. Follow @sunnysideupfest on Instagram for updates.
