Here’s something worth tweeting about: Singapore is now home to Twitter‘s Asia Pacific headquarters and with it comes a brand new office space that’s inspired by the company’s culture of communication.
If you’re lucky enough to pay visit to its sweet new digs, what’ll greet you first is an art installation wall designed by students from LASALLE College of the Arts. The artwork showcases Twitter’s core values and the first Tweets for for each official Twitter country account. A single strand of blue twine links capital cities across the region, forming the outline of Twitter’s logo, with Singapore at the heart of it all.
Walking through the office space, it’s easy to spot touches of local culture, in the form of decorative elements like Peranakan wall and floor tiles, visuals of birds native to the region, nostalgia-inducing old school windows and doors, as well as ’70s-inspired wall grilles, bricks and furniture.
A slider with the ID of 154 doesn't exist. However, not everything is inspired by the old here. In the Commons area areelements present in any hip, progressive company – a wide, open space meant for open communication, anchored by a neon wall sign that reads “#LoveWhereYouWork”.
At the heart of the Twitter office is the #RealTimeLab, a social media centre to share and execute live Twitter campaigns, analytics and data visualizations with partners, customers and the community.
