About Sufyan Saad
Senior Lifestyle Writer
Sufyan Saad (or as some call him, “Mr Oh my God, that Sufyan’s shameless!”) is a true blue Singaporean who’s been weaving words, cracking jokes, and chaotically thriving as a Senior Lifestyle Writer at Honeycombers for four years and counting. Besides specialising in lifestyle writing, social media marketing (LinkedIn remains a work in progress), and video editing (when he’s not scrutinising his own work), he moonlights as the office’s resident personality hire – because every team needs one.
In his current role, Sufyan serves up a buffet of entertaining content. From in-depth guides and devilishly delicious reviews to introspective opinion pieces and cultural commentaries, his work is infused with a healthy dose of unhinged honesty (verdict’s still out). He secretly considers his Father’s Day tribute and Emo Night SG recount as his magnum opuses and has been chasing that level of greatness ever since. When not buried in words, you’ll find him juggling content strategy and debating if “having a personality” counts as a professional skill.
His love for writing started way back when he was young(er) and beautiful. (He also wanted to be a crime scene investigator, but his biggest forensic achievement remains solving two murder mysteries in Cluedo.) Sufyan’s first taste of the industry was freelance writing for JobsFactory’s bi-annual publications, where he profiled exemplary professionals and standout students in Singapore.
Later, he took on a communications role at ASKI Global Limited, where he produced FEW: Financially Empowered Women, a collection of success stories from the non-profit’s training programmes. He also profiled the individuals who attended, the trainers who led them, and the faces running the show.
Sufyan’s pretty girl mantra? “Always for the arts, not the charts.” He peppers conversations with pop culture references and chronically online jokes that zoom past most people, cementing his unhinged yet intriguingly spicy personal brand.
