We say happy second anniversary to OMNIA Dayclub by diving into the see-and-be-seen bashes from this upscale Uluwatu party destination.
Checking out a tropical party spot is always fun, but when you find out that it has a clifftop, oceanfront setting that’s fit for a celebrity, it gets even better. That’s OMNIA Dayclub Bali for you: a luxurious revelry destination like no other on this breezy island.
For its sophomore anniversary, we look at the highlights of OMNIA’s reign as this iconic Uluwatu dayclub celebrates its second year of hosting sleek shindigs atop a cliff… Here are the past, present and future bashes that have us starry-eyed.
Look forward to: The Two Year Anniversary
It’s been a glamorous, sky-high ride so far, but there’s no time for a lull – expect a showstopping anniversary month that’ll supply you with crazy stories for ages. Undoubtedly the biggest extravaganza on our radar right now, OMNIA is going all out with three party weekends of epic proportions this April.
Headlining the first weekend’s stage on 4 April, Tyga is one of modern rap’s biggest names, known for his catchy and sometimes controversial rhymes. This hip hop mainstay is sure to turn up the heat, and what follows over the next two weekends is a line-up of the hottest DJs that any reveller would be sorry to miss.
With a constantly evolving sound, well-loved chart-toppers and collabs with vastly different artists like Logic and Lady Gaga, Zedd takes the stage on 11 April. Expect a mix of electronic and pop beats from this multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning artist/DJ/producer, who never fails to dish out groovy tunes and the occasional, unexpected drop.
For your TGIF festivities on 17 April, catch the top-ranking spinmaster on DJ Mag’s Top 100, Martin Garrix (he’s won the title three times, no less!), live at OMNIA Dayclub. Look forward to energetic, feel-good jams from the youngest superstar in the EDM biz.
Love a strong bass? Yellow Claw will give you plenty of reason to go ‘ayyy’ with their hard-hitting head-boppers and genre-blending sounds – think bass-heavy bangers with a dash of trap. This hype-inducing duo will be in town on 18 April and we bet there’ll be no breaks on the dancefloor when their set begins.
For a more enigmatic (and almost quirky) stage, mark your cals for Claude VonStroke on 26 April. This art-loving, ever-smiling DJ will be making sonic waves with his unique blend of house, funk, dirty bass, and electronica.
Hot right now: The Big Weekend
We’re talking about the first Big Weekend of the year, and trust us when we say this is major. The party’s on this weekend (6 – 8 March) and dance music heavyweights Above & Beyond and Black Coffee are flying in for it. Before these headliners work the turntables on Saturday and Sunday respectively, Jakarta’s open format maestro DJ W.W. will start the Kick Off Party on Friday.
The weekend gets even bigger with yoga, golf and brunch thrown in the mix. Think morning waterfront yoga sessions to rejuvenate the soul, cliffside golfing with eco-friendly balls that dissolve into fish food (yes, you’ll be swinging them into the ocean!) and a delectable brunch at Sake no Hana amidst vibrant tunes.
P.S. Make it a weekend escape with special rates at hotels including Alila Uluwatu, Raddison Blu, Renaissance and The Ungasan!
What you missed: Cercle
Apart from OMNIA Dayclub’s stunning opening night, Cercle was another hugely memorable event. ICYMI: Lee Burridge played an exclusive set for this, captivating merrymakers with blissed-out sounds that complemented the mesmerising sunset view from this clifftop overlooking the Indian Ocean. Coupled with a live interview and Q&A sesh after, this was one incredible sunset-till-night fiesta.
